Whether it’s devoting time, resources and investments in technology, or cheering on the Bison at Gate City Bank Field, our strong partnership with North Dakota State University continues to provide a better way of life for people in our community.
Student Focused Gate City Bank is committed to supporting NDSU by creating innovative learning environments such as Gate City Bank Auditorium and Gate City Bank classroom at Barry Hall. By supporting NDSU, we’re helping keep talented young professionals in the region to create strong, vibrant and generous communities.
We also do this by supporting organizations like the International Students Association, Nepalese Student Association - Chautaree, Women in Business and the Blue Key Honor Society. Our support of the NDSU Innovation Challenge encourages students to bring their best ideas forward, fosters innovative thinkers and aligns closely with our desire to embrace innovation; one of our six Principles of High Standards.
Innovation Focused The Bank’s commitment to NDSU is seen through academic and athletic sponsorships and support. One of the first projects Gate City Bank funded at NDSU was the remodel and establishment of an endowment for Barry Hall. Gate City Bank continued its investment in NDSU with funds for a remodel of Steven’s Auditorium, which is now Gate City Bank Auditorium. The Bank also created unique financing agreements, valued at more than $2.5 million for Aldevron Tower and $4.1 million for Nodak Insurance Company Football Performance Complex.
Aldevron Tower In 2019, Gate City Bank donated $2.5 million through low-interest financing toward NDSU’s Aldevron Tower, a state-of-the-art research facility designed to help address the critical need for health care professionals, both regionally and nationally.
Aldevron Tower is a six-story, 74,000-square-foot facility connected to Sudro Hall on NDSU’s main campus, that fosters education in pharmacy, nursing, respiratory care, medical lab sciences, radiologic sciences, public health and other areas. The $28 million project, which took roughly 18 months to build, was privately funded, and features innovative collaboration spaces for students and staff. It has also brought all of NDSU’s health professions programs to a single location.
Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex In July 2021 construction began on NDSU's new indoor practice facility, the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex. The $37.2 million building project is being privately funded with $4.1 million donated through low-interest financing from Gate City Bank.
A state-of-the-art training facility for the national champion NDSU football program, the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex will also benefit other athletes whose programs are affected by weather throughout the year, including women’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s track and field.
