Gate City Bank has won a 2025 Champion of Affordable Housing Award for making exceptional contributions to affordable housing in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) has awarded Gate City Bank the Excellence in Homeownership Partner Award.
The award, which recognizes best practices and outstanding program delivery, honors financial institutions that partner with the agency to provide its homeownership programs. It’s based on production volume, loan performance and how the program is delivered.
Gate City Bank originated more than 150 NHDFA loans in 2025.
For homebuyers, this recognition reflects the bank’s commitment to making the mortgage process easier to navigate with clear guidance, responsive support and programs designed to fit different needs. Through its partnership with NDHFA, Gate City Bank helps connect more North Dakotans with affordable paths to homeownership.

Gate City Bank has won the Excellence in Homeownership award 15 times since the agency started the awards in 1995. The bank also won in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2009, 2007, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1996 and 1995. The 2025 NDHFA Champion of Affordable Housing award was a painting by Rachel Jungling, a Mandan, ND, artist.
