Sign Up!To get started, log in to your online banking account or use the Gate City Bank mobile app and navigate to “Send Money With Zelle®”. To complete your enrollment, you'll first need to read and accept the terms and conditions, provide your email address or U.S. mobile phone number and deposit account number. From there, you will receive a one-time verification code. Enter the code and you’re ready to start sending and receiving with Zelle®.
Unfortunately, Zelle® payments cannot be reversed. You can only cancel a payment if the person you sent money to hasn’t yet enrolled with Zelle®.
To check whether the payment is still pending because the recipient hasn’t yet enrolled, simply visit your activity page, choose the payment you want to cancel and select “Cancel This Payment.”
If the person you sent money to has already enrolled with Zelle® through their bank or credit union’s mobile app or online banking, the money is sent directly to their bank account and can't be cancelled. This is why it’s important to only send money to people you know and trust, and always ensure you’ve used the correct email address or U.S. mobile phone number when sending money.
If you sent money to the wrong person or do not see the "Cancel This Payment" option listed in the app, please contact us so we may best assist you.
