SVP of Retail Banking
Norm Clark serves as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking in western North Dakota, helping oversee operations in Bismarck, Mandan, Dickinson, Williston, Minot, Jamestown, Carrington, Mohall and Hettinger. Originally from Churches Ferry, ND, Norm brings more than 17 years of experience to Gate City Bank. He studied business administration at University of North Dakota – Lake Region.
Outside of work, Norm serves as a board member for Boy Scouts of America (Northern Lights Council), Bismarck State College Foundation, Central Dakota Children’s Choir and Central Dakota Humane Society.
In his free time, Norm enjoys volunteering, reading, watching movies and spending time with family, especially when it comes to traveling with his wife, Denise, to visit their adult children, Wayne and Joey. Most people don’t know that Norm loves to play competitive and collaborative strategy games.
To Norm, being a team member at Gate City Bank means being part of an organization that truly believes in empowerment, making a difference in communities and allowing for growth to happen within the culture. It also means growing business by building relationships, all while coaching and encouraging fellow team members.
Among Gate City Bank’s Principles of High Standards, Norm’s favorite is Make a Difference because “not only does it represent what we do through volunteerism and giving back to our communities, but it also can be tied to making a difference through our interactions with our team members, our customers, our families – everyone we come in contact with. Each of us has the potential to lead, follow or be an individual contributor in making a difference.”
