When you register for mobile deposit, you’ll receive an email with your personalized limits. You can also find your limits per deposit displayed on the mobile deposit screen. Limits may change based on your account activity.

After submitting the mobile deposit, you’ll receive a reference number and status for it. When your deposit is accepted, it may take up to one business day2 to appear in your account. If your deposit is held for review, you’ll receive an email notification when your mobile deposit is either approved or declined. If the deposit is declined, you will receive an email notification indicating the reason.

Please check your email within a business day of your deposit. You’ll be able to see the status of current and past deposits by selecting “View Deposit History” on the mobile deposit screen.

Fear not! You’ll receive an email notification if your mobile deposit is declined. It’s best to check your email within one business day of your deposit.

The reasons for your mobile deposit being denied can vary. Your specific reasoning can be accessed within mobile deposit history by clicking on the deposit itself.

There are a number of reasons why checks may not be able to be deposited using the mobile app:

  • Folded or torn corners.
  • The front image is not legible.
  • The amount entered doesn’t match the amount read by the scanning software.
  • The routing and account numbers are unclear.
  • The image is too dark.
  • Endorsements are missing from the front or back of the check.

Some check types aren’t eligible for mobile deposit, including:

  • Checks payable to any person or entity other than you (i.e., payable to another party and then endorsed to you).
  • Checks that don’t contain a nine-digit U.S. routing number.
  • Checks that contain evidence of alteration, or that you know or suspect, or should know or suspect, are fraudulent or otherwise not authorized by the owner of the account on which the check is drawn.
  • Checks made payable to a business.

It’s easy! Simply tap on the “More” menu, select your name to edit your profile and choose “Change Email Address.” Once you’ve changed your email address, open the “Deposit” option.

Or if you’re logged in from a web browser, select “Profile,” “Profile Updates” and “Change Email Address.”

You can view the status of current and past mobile deposits by selecting the “View History” folder at the top right of the mobile deposit screen.

So long as the mobile deposit status is “held for review,” you can delete the deposit. Simply tap on “Deposit” in the menu and the “View History” icon at the top right of the screen. Locate the deposit labeled “Held for Review,” and swipe left to delete it.
